Got the title but underneath is blank.

Go to YouTube and search for "I bought an army blackhawk helicopter: now what?"
If you then look at his other videos there is a second one as well.

Interesting video - The bulkhead crack in a 'metal' Blackhawk is a known issue and has a straight-forward remedy using Timberline's sacrificial panel mod. You cant do that with a UH60M. One of the advantages in a design with over 15-million flight hours, there are no surprises.

Can it be used for any commercial flying? (Civilan certification)
If not, expensive toy, but hat off to buyer for thinking big.

FYI, he has owned & operated a BO105 for the past few years.

(And a Jetbanger & Rotorway(!) before that).

Youtube is just a(nother) sideline for him. He has several other businesses, mainly involving selling, repairing and modifying diesel vehicles. And several seasons of a TV show on the Discovery Channel.

Also is being sued by the Government for illegally modifying diesel trucks as per EPA standards.

yep, several companies have their own civilian type certificate, can be used in restricted category ie No pax.

Takes about 6 months to have the UH60 to be released from DLA after winning the bid and another 6 months for the FAA to bless it under your type certificate. Add in whatever mods, refurb, comms, upgrades etc to the timeline.

I note that it is for sale.
maybe he discovered that you can’t carry pax on a Restricted civil ticket?
a shame as his charitable intentions for the Black Widow were admirable -

Way bigger than anything I’ve ever flown but do the experienced pilots on here think this type is
suitable for single pilot opps. Unless he mentioned he was going to have a second pilot.

Los Angeles County Fire and CalFire operate Blackhawks single pilot. Calfire has a dedicated fire person who stays with the aircraft in the front seat, that can help with some of the work load, but not a pilot.

I'm no expert, but to my knowledge all the non government operators of Blackhawks in the US are using 2 pilots, the aircraft that are single pilot are all under the public use clause.

Plenty of YouTube videos from places like Turkey and Russia about how to do the computer upgrade and get rid of all the pollution crud on new trucks..…:E
