I know it’s been done a thousand times over the years but the threads on this subject are old.

10 years on I’m going to finish my PPL. I did x2 trial flights at Elstree and have picked my preferred school there.

I’ve also got one booked at Denham soon to compare as has never considered it as a place to fly and it’s only 10 mins further away than Elstree.

Any advice on where to learn from and schools etc is hugely welcomed please.

Most of my previous experience is in a PA28 but frankly I’ll learn in anything.

Thank you.

I chose The Pilot Centre at Denham and have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. Great airfield with a well-maintained and equipped fleet of 152s and PA28s and one or two others. A strong group of instructors in a friendly, supportive environment. A well-run Denham Flying Group has weekly fly-outs that encourage participation from pilots at all levels. Decent grub at Ed's caff. What's not to like?

The Pilot Centre at Denham
Oldish thread but have to concur.... if Eva could teach a chimpanzee to fly (me) she must be a fantastic instructor. What does this button do?
