Hi everyone,

Can anyone that sat an FTE assessment recently shed some light on what to wear? A post from 2010 suggests a suits, but it´s 2021 and the forecast is for 45 Celsius.

Cheers

Unless you’re a time traveller I’d say it’s 2022 and yes suits are still very much a thing.

Lightweight wool/blend suit. Cotton or no crease shirt.
Tie. You can take a tie off if the rest of the panel has done so, but you can't put one on if you haven't brought one...
Wool socks. Cotton gets sweaty.
The building should be airconditioned.

Absolutely. A very light weight wool suit etc is significantly more comfortable than artificial fibres. I'm not talking tweed.

Definitely wear a suit. Yes it'll be hot but you'll be indoors most of the time. Particularly if you're applying to a sponsored scheme, first impressions matter. You don't want to stick out for the wrong reasons!
