Hello!

can anyone provide som clarity weather it is the case that on some tails the gs mini function is not displayed to the crew on the PFD by the VAPP being adjusted visually?

Best regards

Nope, not happening. GS mini modifies the speed target.

What you might be seeing is some secondary bugged feature of the A/THR.

One of them is AFTER using speed-brakes with flaps out, it refuses to come down to the managed target for quite some time and floats 7-13 kt higher.

Does anyone have the formula for ground speed mini by any chance?

The FCOM does.

........AFTER using speed-brakes with flaps out, [Vapp] refuses to come down to the managed target for quite some time and floats 7-13 kt higher.

Which is presumably because the speed brakes do not stow immediately; they stow gradually even after the lever is back at zero. Well, that is true when clean, I assume it is similar when dirty.

Or am I thinking of Vls?

Vapp+GS mini = 150
Vreal = 165
Speed-brake back in, as the thrust comes up, approach salvaged.
A/THR reacts and flies 163 ish for 'like ages' (20-30 sec).

Vls around 135, coming down from the speed-brake value within about 3 sec of the lever movement.

I think there was a note of explanation somewhere once, but surely my memory banks get depowered too.
