He was a lucky, lucky man his engine didn't quit 15 seconds later as those wires were just oh-so predictably waiting to completely ruin his day.
But wtf was he doing wazzing at that sort of level in a mountainous valley in the first place? In a single?

Good point. I did think that too.
Altitude is money in the bank - but hadn't he just recently done the TO - so hadn't had time to accrue that.
Definitely - whatever it was - it was a lucky escape - doesn't get any better than that. Doesn't need to.

Aren't we hearng the engine reving up / down ? He maight have been very low on fuel but not out.
