Has anyone got past the initial Medical check (class 1) of EASA being over the eyesight diopters limit? It says:
Notwithstanding point (c)(1), applicants for a class 1 medical certificate with any of the
following medical conditions shall be referred to the medical assessor of the licensing
authority and may be assessed as fit subject to a satisfactory ophthalmological
evaluation:
(i) myopia exceeding –6.0 dioptres;
(ii) astigmatism exceeding 2.0 dioptres;
(iii) anisometropia exceeding 2.0 dioptres.
However, how far can you go over these and still have a chance of getting the medical?
I've got:
S CR -4,00 -3,00
L -5,75 -1,75
I'm going to make an appointment with an AMC soon, but still would like to hear different opinions first!

In Belgium, you get denied for going over 2.0 Diopters.

Any chance you have any other issues with your eyes?

No other isues as far as I know. Actaully went for an eye test (last one was 1,5 years ago with the results in the original post) and nothing has changed. My dad also had high myopia but he got eye laser surgery and he can see perfectly fine now.
I live in the Netherlands, so hearing that Belgium denies over 2 diopters isn't good I guess :bored:.

In the Netherlands you can undergo additional tests to pass the -6 Myopia limit. So you should be good if you don’t have any other issue.
