Hi all,

Someone has told me that Mena Cargo are late with pay regularly and appear to not be paying people who leave, not sure if this is true was hoping for more info. Last I heard some really good management pilots there but now I hear they have left, is any of this true? Heard also some newer people getting hotels longer than others who set up the place, again not sure if this is true or not. Can anyone supply more info? was thinking of applying but now not so sure

correct what you’ve heard darkmatterparticle-
almost all of the original team that got the AoC have left now.

So apparently, they have a history of not paying bills. The only two guys who did their jobs properly and handed in notice properly were the only two that didn’t get paid when leaving, I’ve heard they are now taking things to the law in Bahrain.

Also it seems that since these two left not one flight has been operated. If this is true then this is disgusting behaviour by those in charge over there. I knew a few people interested that now won’t touch it with a barge pole, also potential clients running from it.

Heard another shocking story concerning a deal where mena allegedly didn’t hangar and aircraft they were contracted to hangar whilst taking the money. If true that’s really dishonourable and hopefully the Bcaa and rulers in Bahrain intervene here.

A bit long winded, but strong words of advice for anyone who is thinking about applying or going here as a pilot, engineer, investing yourself, knows someone planning on investing into this company, etc.

I also apologise for the terrible grammar as I quickly type this up!

This airline has its head office based in Bahrain and uses both names, depending on who they are avoiding in order not to pay bills... As pilots, you will be told you must have accommodation arranged for living in Bahrain. However, no flight operations are planned for Bahrain. Instead, you will either be shipped over to the worst 3-star hotel (and that's considered a privilege if you get a 3-star) to work out of Sharjah. Planned operations are for crews to be based out of Nairobi and DRC. Although this lot haven't operated a commercial flight since 2022 when all the folk with brains left before the proper cowboys (and cowgirls as its 2023) arrived and made things worse.

With new management and the same old brain dead, thieves, liars and muppets within the board, everything is done on the cheap or stealing and cutting corners. Inappropriate manuals, no rosters in place and an aircraft that hasn't had proper maintenance done since it left the leasing company.

If you are planning on investing money, leasing, referring a friend, applying for a job, anything to do with this cowboy outfit, then please don't. They take your money and vanish. The main character in all of this is a local chap named Mohammed Juman. He calls himself Doctor Juman. Doctor of f**k all, or maybe a doctor who specialises in stealing your cash, lining his pockets and vanishing like Houdini.

They do not pay staff on time and are always consistently late. Sometimes maybe one week, sometimes two weeks, sometimes over one full month with no salary. It's like the lottery. Salaries are also well below the standard for this region. First Officers at the company next door earn more than the poor sod who is next in line to be the DFO - if he hangs around long enough.

They do not pay bills. Currently the owe millions in debt to fuellers, flight planning organisations, Jeppesen, NavBlue, suppliers and the list goes on.

They have only one aircraft - if you can call that an aircraft. A Cessna 152 has a more up to date cockpit.

Crews are not given rosters. You are expected to operate without a roster. Don't make me laugh as you currently tell yourself "that's illegal, I'd report that to the authority!" The authority turns a blind eye to this as the board members of the company have friends within the government, who have friends within the authority to quash any such reports. If anything, you will face the consequences for spitting the dummy out! But how do they monitor the crews flight duty times, etc I hear you ask?! Very simple. Up to date. Modern methods. They don't! Either work it like a good chap or face a back lash of no salary.

I could go on and on but I don't have time to write a novel on what is effectively a company run by Laurel and Hardy.

Please keep away from this lot. As pilots, for the love of your little mammy, stay away! But for everyone's sake, just stay clear!
