Ravenair from Liverpool have crashed an aircraft. Anybody know the details? Hawarden runway closed.

Runway closed ? Apart from a cursory check that he hasn't left any undercarriage bits on it - unlikely having gone that far 'offroad' - I'd have thought that it was far enough off to carry on as normal.

I suspect that whoever were to land subsequently would be expecting rather more than a "cursory" runway check.

And presumably the search for bits (with a view to any possible investigation) would also encompass the grass immediately adjacent to the runways, thereby still preventing its use for the time being.
