Can anyone ID the airfield used in the 1949 film Stop Press Girl which was on TV today?
Link is to Reelstreets which usually has all the info; follow link and scroll down to last few stills.

And if you get it, tell Reelstreets! :)

Halifax G-AKEC. I'm thinking either Blackbushe, Northolt, Bovingdon or Radlett maybe?

Reelstreets.com is usually helpful for film locations but in this case draws a blank so far. There are one or two stills of the airfield scene from the film (captures 36-39) which might help

The first location, Finchingfield, is not a million miles from Stansted. The old Western side airport entrance used to have a good population of those white huts (although appreciate that was a common vista at many old WW2 airfields)

Here's the film - sequence is around 47 minutes.

Thanks horatio b and treadigraph very interesting. I'm pretty sure that this is Bovingdon Aerodrome. HP Halifax 8 G-AKEC registered to Lancashire Aircraft Corporation. Based at Bovingdon at the time the film was made. Reference made to Pprune thread on Bovingdon for comparisons:

The chimney on the left can be seen in an old wartime aerial photograph on the Bovingdon thread.

Photographed at a much later date and at a different angle.
