This just happening. Anyone know what’s actually going on? Need to tell my pax why we’re sitting on the ramp at LBG….

A friend is a skipper stuck in GVa. He said it was an explosion. Don’t know more.

Reports are that the fire is at a refugee center that is under construction.

Reported in the Express as a large hangar fire with explosions being heard.

Indeed a building site (unoccupied) that took fire with massive smoke.
All landings stopped for approx 3h, some departures still operating at crew discretion (but strange in my book, what happens if you have to return in case of an unlikely but not impossible emergency?).
All on all things getting back to normal operationm

Just like a take-off when the airport is below landing landing minima…you file a take-off alternate.
