I thought the CBC was confusing names, but on this Viking page:

Didn't Viking buy the de Havilland name when they bought the non-biz jet lines from Bombardier?

They may well have.

But, confusingly, www.dehavilland.com brings up the website of "De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Ltd", plugging the Dash 8-400 and making no mention whatsoever of either the water bomber or the Twin Otter.

Go figure ...

The Series 400 Twin Otters are built in Victoria and then, the green aircraft are flown to Viking’s facility in Calgary, for painting and fitting out.
