I have been attempting to locate the 486 Sqn RNZAF Standard. I have contacted many relevant museums, churches (St Clement Danes inc) etc.

Does anyone know where it is? Please only reply with an exact location as I have tried many many avenues so I am looking for a definitive answer not hypothetical suggestions.

Cheers

I don't believe that it was awarded a Standard having formed in 1942 and disbanding in 1945.

This website appears to confirm: 486 Sqn | RAF Heraldry Trust (rafht.co.uk) (http://www.rafht.co.uk/index.php/2016/06/11/486-sqn/)

Indeed - 25 years of accumulated service required for the award of a standard (unless conferred early by the monarch, as with 120 and 617).

Yes. Shortly after posting I was informed (by Air Historical Branch) that 486 Sqn were never awarded one.

Many thanks
