Hi all,
here are some answers:
Salary: Okay but you can definetly earn more in business aviation. Have a look at PPJN.
Per diems: As per German law. Depends on the country where you have your overnight.
Open bases: You must live within two hours of a major european airport (e.g. Barajas, Heathrow, Amsterdam, Zurich etc.)
Training during working days: Yes! Without exception.
Upgrade: If you are experienced and do a good job, you can be upgraded within 2-3 years. Depends on your performance.
General working conditions: Good. Nice colleagues, good team spirit and stable roster.
German only: Yes. But if you know some basic German and you are willing to improve and to attend a language course, I would give it a try.
