I am looking for study materials for ICAO English Level Exam, any advice?

Most of the non-native English speakers rarely qualify for a level 6.

If you still want to show the aeronautical community that your English skills are better than the lowest level, you should aim at level 5.

Your English language skills will be assessed in the following areas:

Pronunciation
Structure
Vocabulary
Fluency
Comprehension
Interaction

How can you improve yourself in those areas? Practicing on a daily basis.

Read aloud in order to improve your pronunciation, talk, chat, listen, read aviation magazines, watch aviation videos to improve vocabulary, fluency, interaction, and comprehension. Revise grammar for structure.

Remember, this is like a sport, you need to practice every day for few months.

First, learn which formats are being used by your test center. There are no major differences between centers but still worth knowing beforehand. Also, some centers offer courses (online or on-site) before the test where they give some tips & tricks which might be useful but in the end, as Airgus wrote above, it all comes to practicing. Some personal trick for the speaking module (e.g general questions, picture description, etc) is to record your answers, then listen. Also, there are some quality youtube videos worth watching, just search "ICAO level".

I, a non-native English speaker, got the highest level, dunno if was 5 or 6, would have to fish out my certificate, but the score where I don't need to renew, ever. What got me there was of course understanding everything correctly and saying exactly the right things, but as the examiner pointed out: I SPOKE SLOWLY and CLEARLY. Simple bonus thing that's easy to do ! Good luck !

Sat the exam yesterday in an english speaking country, followed your advice and got level 6. Non-native speaker neither here.

I attended the exam yesterday. Aviation Related questions and Audio Examples were really helpful here. I recommend you to have a look at the PDF in the link.
