I just put an application in for a flying job that pays "Award Rates". Can someone tell me where I can get a copy of the award or give some idea as to the diffrent rates. The job called for MECIR and a turbine endorsement (preferred). Thanks in advance people.

At some companies it is what the company wants to award you.
There is a website with all of the real ones but can't remember what it is something O----???

Ask them if they pay all the award allowances as well.

A lot of companies will pay you the correct salary, however they fail to pay the allowances, ie. Travel, Meal, Freight Handling, Overnight Allowances, etc.

Thanks, Icarus2001. There doesn't seem to be a Search Engine on the planet that can find it!

DON"T BE FOOLED GUYS! ! !

The Award is the MINIMUM that you are entitled to provided you are covered.

All allowances within the award are claimable unless an agreement has been made between yourself and your employer (Workplace Agreement).

Employers cannot pick and choose which allowances they will pay.

In my experience, most operators believe the award is a guide out of which they can pick and choose what they would like to pay. NOT SO!

The Award is the Pilot's (General Aviation) Award 1998.

Go and see your local Workplace Relations office for further info.
