As SLF we often throw brickbats at the airlines, mostly deservedly, for the cavalier attitudes that many of them have for their clients. So here is a big bouquet.
During the fracas of late November when the UK and Europe closed to South Africans, my wife and I ended up in a minor panic buying three one way tickets SA - Europe in the hope that one of them would actually fly. We used LH eventually to Germany. Two different destination C class tickets on Emirates needed refunding or whatever an airline will do with your money these days, either an MCO or a voucher. We asked for a refund.
Emirates said yes, we shall refund. The first full refund was in our account in 10 days, the second in 5 days.
In this uncertain times that is the best advertisement for me to fly Emirates.
