My late Father in Law was an armorer with 14 Squadron at Fassberg early 50s. He told me they had their own club, or bar, where he was a waiter. Any pilots entering had to sign a visitors book, a page of which he kept. Are there any recognizable names on here, Bill Pegg rings a bell but I don’t know any others.

Teddy Donaldson was the Air Correspondent of The Daily Telegraph. Bill Pegg was, I think, a navigator who was ordained in later life.

Bill Pegg could well be the chap who was Chief Test Pilot of Bristol. Flew the Brabazon, among other things.

Bristol's CTP is unlikely to have been the OP's Bill Pegg at an RAF station in Germany in the 1950s.

Completely different signature, too:

Well Bill Pegg's brother was at Fassberg. Enjoy these photographs from the albums of the late Brian Sharman who I knew well in Air Anglia days at Norwich. Incidentally I read a signed copy of Bill Pegg's autobiography earlier this year - the signature was far less ornate than the immediate above - more like that in the visitors book.

A Squadron Leader R. Benwell was OC 14 Squadron in 1952, so that's probably him on there.
