Wife and self are hooked on the TV series “Surgeons At the Edge of Life” which this week featured a 68 year old former Harrier pilot called Paul undergoing facial cancer treatment. Thoughts of pilots getting too much cosmic radiation aside I just wondered if anyone here had been a squadron mate of his.

Bit of a long shot but wanted to ask.

Very sorry to hear about the Paul but the chances of a Harrier pilot spending enough time high enough to suffer from cosmic radiation is extremely remote.

Apparently he went on to fly commercial long-haul, so lots of hours at altitude. Didn’t want to rehash the cosmic radiation debate again, just a bit of a long shot to see if anyone knew him. Either way, wishing him a full recovery.
