Looks as if you could get your own personal jet transport, possibly for quite a reasonable price:

https://www.skylarc.co.nz/auctions/mac/

Most of the complete machines have some flying hours on them and seem to be in reasonable condition. Interesting to follow the development iteration - the later machines are somewhat larger than the first.

Also see there's a couple of 6-DOF simulators for sale. The bases used are the same as for other simulators (fixed wing etc) so should be no trouble to repurpose, or to train yourself up to fly the real thing that you've bought to scare the neighbours...

WOW.... you don't end up with much left over from $50 million of development money

I’ll give the SAAA a call. Transferring the rego to VH should be a few ticks on a form I’d reckon. I’ll ask my favourite TC. Hopefully my LAME can sign it off if they reckon I’m not qualified enough.

What kind of questions would I be asked if I was ramp checked flying one of theses? :ok:

no questions on a ramp check, you would just bend over with your bum facing the offending party and engage throttle to take of power setting. Problem solved !

I think the most common question would be "WTF is that?!"
