View Full Version : DLR - Dress Code and How Many Test Runs?

Dear Community,

Due to sit the DLR exam next week and had three questions for anyone who's been through it:

1) I was wondering what dress code is the norm? I couldn't find any information. Do most people wear a full suit, just a shirt & tie, or is more casual also acceptable?

2) I get the impression there's at least 20-30min per item of testing during the day (eg visual memory, perceptual speed, spatial orientation) - Do they just give you ONE attempt of each, with around 20 questions (similar to the preparation software DLR provide)? Or do you get multiple run throughs of each aptitude test to get a best score from? Or, is it just one very long run-through of each for about 30min, with many more questions than the preparation software gives?

3) With the personality testing; is it only a computer-based questionaire, or is there also an in-person interview? I note they asked us to complete some 'additional' open-ended questions on our form (about personal traits, motivations etc), which I'm guessing someone might go through in person on the day?

Would appreciate anyone who can shed any light or all or some of these questions.

Many thanks in advance for any advice from people who've been through it.
