There was the PAC 750 late last year; I think back in the air
Twin Otter at Wobagen in Dec last year; I think its still there waiting to be recovered...

With Air Sanga's somewhat checkered record, and likely cash-flow issues, and knowing he has been looking for investment partners, how does this make sense?

Rather interesting on the FB web page...
A Beech 1900D that is 27 years old being described as "new"
Not sure how the aircraft will perform on a wet Moro runway, sticky at best of times when wet.
Looks like an Airline advertising that seats are available...
Reserve/back-up aircraft to cover breakdowns? Engineers to keep machine serviceable?
Is the crashed Twin Otter still at Wobagen from last December....

I think its still there waiting to be recovered...
That's if there's anything left of it to be recovered, after the locals have been at it!!

The 1900 is now on the PNG register as P2-ASA and doing quite a bit of flying. If I was a betting man, I’d be putting money on them acquiring another 1900 or two if the aeroplane is successful for their business. MBA proved that the aircraft was a success in PNG, until they changed their business model about 20 years ago and replaced them with vintage Dash 8s🤡🤡🤡🤡
It’s operated under a Part 125 certificate, hence no step up to a 121 certificate.

Let's hope the B1900 does not go the same way as the Twin Otter and the PAC 750.
That aside it is a very good aircraft for PNG.
We know from the accident report into the Twin Otter; the Otter crew are already B1900 type rated.

I doubt they will attempt to operate the 1900 into Tekin or the like 🙃🙃🙃🙃

I hope they succeed with the B1900; kudo's for bringing the type back into PNG
The 1900 comes leased with crew 😜
Who has been doing the maintenance?

Air Sanga has their own maintenance facility at Kiunga and I think Port Moresby.
Air Sanga has qualified national (PNG) flight crew.
As with everything in PNG there can be two set of rules; and if your company is owned by politicians, high level public servants, connection to 'ruling' members; then anything is possible.
