Have just read "Big Bird's" book "An Officer not a Gentleman." Highly recommend it. She has a very good captivating writing style.

I found it via a large South American rivers website saying "Here is something related to your previous purchases you might like" .. thanks Jeff :ok:

The OH found the IOT interview bit somewhat dubious. She was a Flt Cdr at Cranwell in the early 80s, and that attitude didn’t ring true. But she does recall doing IOT in the early 70s, when all female cadets were required to wear make-up at all times … even on Camp in muddy fields!

Whichever, well done and well presented, Ma’am!

Pity about the artificial historical inaccuracies about females in the ATC and UAS - unnecessary and off putting, and clearly not down to forgetfulness!

What’s she on about with the aptitude tests too? She already passed them to get the flying scholarship.

A very impressive career and set of achievements that do not need embellishments for an interview…..
