Did the burners only light up after leaving the deck? At 1:32 on the clock.

Always worth a watch, thanks for posting. Shame the home team cant do similar, it would be nice to see something but probably result in a grounding for breaking umpteen safety regs.

ORAC, I wonder if the Academie Francaise know that all the displays and cockpit indications/labels are in English in Rafale.
When I expressed my surprise to 'Pierre the French fighter pilot' in 2010, His reply was "Well we want to sell it across the World".!!!

What a wonderful way to spend 20 minutes, very therapeutic. It may not be the best aircraft in its class, but Rafale is a beauty to watch in flight!
Brightened up a somewhat dull evening.

Rare to see shots of fast jets so high - some of those pix looked close to service ceiling FL50?
Will remember my two flights in fast jets `til the day I die.
This really captures the extraordinary experience.

Wasn’t that the service ceiling of the Jaguar? :p

Certainly within an order of magnitude more or less - probably less :)

Looked like it to me. You probably wouldn't want them to fail to light up at that point.
