Gents,

I have been a reading member in this forum for many years now, but as i am slowly withdrawing from the business, i also started reducing the amount of time spent on "social media" and the internet in general....

I haven´t contributed much to the community lately, so i thought i might as well cut the ropes and use this opportunity to delete the last forum i had been hanging on to.....
Nothing to do with the crowd or the forum itself, though...

I wish all of you good luck in your careers, and many happy landings....

Thanks for all your advice, your tipps, or kind messages over the past decade.......

Cheers,

hr

(Mods: If you could delete my account by the end of this month, please? Thanks..)

HaHaHa. Happy retirement and good luck keeping your fingers off the keyboard. I got the mods to delete my account when I retired, and less than a year later I couldn't resist joining in again.

HR is always the „drama queen“ …..
🤨
some month ago, he tould the hole world via social media that he‘s leaving EASA Land due to bad treatments by the authorities . And it takes a few month and he was back again……

As you recall, I handed In my EASA license....

Flew on my FAA certificate for a while, then was called by a company to do their training and work as their examiner... That's why I moved my license back to Ireland...

But at least you are paying attention!

Everybody has their own life to lead...their own path to follow, blah blah blah. Deleting one's account will delete every post they've ever made on this forum. I don't know why anyone would want to do that. I mean, we all make good ones and bad ones, but deleting them all? Seems extreme, and maybe even a little petty. And I'm not sure that I understand why someone would want to publicly sign-off. If I were to stop posting today, nobody would care - nobody would ever say, "Heyyyy, whatever happened to that FH1100 guy that used to post here?" I think this applies to most (all?) of us. Nobody really cares. And it is egotistical to think that anyone would.

But whatever. We wish 'hueyracer' well in the future, now that he's apparently moving on, or perhaps just getting older and having less and less time for frivolous stuff such as social media.

Doesn't anybody know how the internet works? Unless you're throwing away your computer and going to live on a deserted island, you're a mouse click away from the same place you "left". What's the point? It's like saying goodbye to the neighbors because you think you're never going to leave the house again.

Why?
If you don't want to participate anymore, just don't come here!

The mods have a cunning way to delete your account without losing your old posts, so it's not an an act of vandalism to leave (unless you want it to be). When I retired, I didn't want to be that old fart shouting at the TV so I thought it safer to throw away the key. Look how that went !
