Could we see a DA72 with 2 x 300 Hp Continental CD-300 3 litre V6 engines?

Ok I have been thinking about this in my forced time off work.

Diamond will intruduce the DA-72.

This will be a DA62 airframe with a slightly longer fuselage to have the 3 seat rows and a baggage comparttment.

Engines will be the 300 Hp Continental CD-300 diesel.

Cabin will be pressurised with a service ceiling of 25,000 ft and a cruise speed of around 250 kts. with a range of 1200nm.

This will render everything else in GA obsolete.

This will render everything else in GA obsolete.

I don't understand. GA is a big field from two-seat personal/training aircraft to private jets. How would any one type make everything else obsolete?

I like the prospect of kerosene burning piston engines but I don't like that the diesel injectors seem to need battery power to continue running. Could they be somehow modified to run on their own once started and just drive their high pressure pumps whenever on?
