Very sad to hear the news that Peter Brown has died. Peter was involved with the B17 for the best part of 40 years and it is his engineering expertise and dedication that has allowed millions of people to experience the sight and sounds of the Flying Fortress at air shows during this time. Not a bad legacy to have kept such a machine flying safely during this time. RIP Peter.

Tributes paid to IWM Duxford's Flying Fortress chief engineer Peter Ellis Brown (suffolknews.co.uk) (https://www.suffolknews.co.uk/bury-st-edmunds/news/tributes-paid-to-iwm-duxfords-flying-fortress-chief-enginee-9203374/)
