Far from all the world's leaders flying to Newquay, their aircraft have been seen also at Exeter and Culdrose, Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Mildenhall, Brize Norton, Northolt and possibly others. But maybe not Bristol or Fairford.

Pres. Biden's movements (Mildenhall - Newquay - Heathrow) at least coincided with his appointments, but can the same be said of the Australian PM? (Brize, Newquay, Stansted, rumoured Heathrow next).

A C-32 came out of Fairford yesterday afternoon and headed into Europe (Brussels?), plus two from Heathrow along with AF1.

No parking space at Newquay, so the US Press corp's Delta A330 parked up at Cardiff - having made the short hop from Newquay, and then departed to Brussels.

I am no advocate for politicians excessive use of widebody VIP aircraft, but not sure why you single out Aust PM.
His aircraft was due into Newquay, but diverted due weather. He then travelled by road to Newquay.
Then after G7 onto meetings in London, and after that due to travel to Paris for meeting.

I didn't know that was a diversion, that's all,

Then there was AF1 Mildenhall to Newquay, via overhead Manchester and Weymouth bay circuits, 2 x Marine 1 to Windsor on Sunday + escorts, and the sentries, typhoons + tankers.

I wonder what the protocol is for a VIP being diverted miles from anywhere. Did the Lord Lieutenant of the Oxfordshire get a phone call at 4 am telling him/her to be at Brize at 6 am, or whatever time the plane landed? Or can the senior officer on site represent the Queen or the PM as necessary? And is there a brass band ready to play? And a red carpet? A fleet of Rolls-Royces for the long journey to Cornwall?

Run him down the A34 to Newbury and stick him on the next GWR service to PZ. Most of them stop at Snerth...

I guess you can't divert AF1 easily with all of the support vehicles and security waiting at Newquay. I did wonder what would have happened if the fog had persisted last week. Guess it would have gone back to Mildenhall or circled until they could get the support up to somewhere like Exeter.
