Hi,
What is the minimum radar separation for aircraft on the same localizer?

suggest you move this one to the ATC forum - you can expect an expert response there.

Whilst Alex is spot on it's worth adding the caveats to achieve that minimum.
Minimum of 2.5nm between succeeding a/c which are established on the localiser within 10nm of the runway end provided:
>The average statistical occupancy time of landing a/c does not exceed 50 seconds
>Braking action is good and no contaminants
>Radar must update in azimuth/range every 5 seconds or less
>The aerodrome controller is able to monitor the runway (visually, surface movement radar, surface movement guidance and control system)
>Wake Turbulence minima not a factor
>A/C approach speeds are closely monitored by the controller
>Crew must be aware of the need to exit the runway expeditiously when this minima is being applied
>Procedures concerning the application of this minima are published in the AIP
From AFT Av Law notes - hope this clarifies.

2.5 answers the question - at this point, that's all that matters.
