Jet Blue announce JFK daily to both LHR on 12 August and LGW from this 30 September. They will use the A321 LR. They offer 117 in Y at 32" pitch and 24 in "a reimagined version of Mint" their domestic C product.

The PR machine gets fully carried away: "Customers will enjoy a boutique-style experience no matter where they sit"

Good to see finally.

LHR-JFK is timed a little strangely as it seems the aircraft will sit around for 8 hours at Heathrow before departing at 18:10. I'd say a 21:43 arrival into JFK isn't a prime arrival time for a UK based traveller.
I suspect it's slot related.

LGW-JFK is timed better.

Fares are competitive. Mint/"J" for <£1,000 roundtrip. If you're flying from LGW then £290 Y class roundtrip is a good offering.

I'd agree that it will be slot timed but, also, aiming for the late night return from LHR for Biz pax.

cant wait to try Mint. Only concern is the premium offerings at airports in UK and issues if tech/ cancellations etc
