I know I'll have to dive into the morass of the CAA but would appreciate any thoughts or sharing of knowledge.

Approx 4000 hours rotary, last flight was B206 in 2002. I'm current with my ATPL-A, will the CAA define what I need to do to revive the ATPL-H or just offload to an ATO?

TIA

As you last used your licence in 2002, can I assume that it is a UK national ATPL and was not transferred to a JAR licence? If so, I'm not sure there's a prescribed path for you to follow. Unless someone knows differently.

I assume your ATPL A and H were both issued by UK? I think you would need to do training as determined by an ATO to renew a rating (it'll be the whole course given how long it's been). Then the update to a UK Part FCL will happen as part of the rating application process. You will have to do training as required and an IR test (with an IRE) to get your IR back (bridging from your ATPL.A) -
but basically go to an ATO for the type you want to fly.
