I'm not sure why, but NASA TV is currently streaming a documentary about John Glenn's orbital flight. The re-entry appears to be done in real time, or at least from the de-orbit burn onwards. Quite tense considering the fault they thought they had with the heat shield. Worth watching if you have the time.
