Hey guys, just wanted to ask about this new flight school. I know that this school was just recently opened back in 2018 (I think). Based on their training program, it looks good and they have their brand new planes (tecnam p2010 and p2006) where their students can train from. I'd say their facilities and training environment looks nice all in all. So, just wanted to ask what are your thoughts about this new flight school? Also, this school is managed by Macroasia who is being managed by Lucio Tan as well, could it be possible that PAL will get their future pilots here similar to what they do at PAL aviation school? I'm curious though.

FAA is owned 51% by MacroAsia and 49% by Philippine Transmarine Carriers while PAL Aviation School was a Division of Philippine Airlines (PAL). When the PAL Aviation School Division was closed, it’s assets were sold to FAA. The original PAL Aviation School from 1960 is gone.

There is no program or guarantee that if you do your flight training in FAA, you will be prioritized by Philippine Airlines in hiring you as a 2nd officer pilot. FAA is partly owned (51%) by MacroAsia and its not even a part of PAL. Two different groups. The operations of FAA are handled by PTC and MacroAsia is just an investor. PAL has no direct relation to FAA.

Since it’s opening in 2019, none has completed their Airline Transport Pilot Training. FA marketed for around 10 months of flight training but now, its 46 months already for their batch. Instructors and management people come and go. Not to mention their fatal accident last May 2021.
