I spent many years in China. After coming back to the states i actually miss it. Salary was good, it was fun living in Shenzhen. I wanted to hear others opinions on the future of expats in China.

With a now 21 day quarantine and so many countries tightening their borders I wonder if there will be a chance again to come back. It also seems so many crew leasing companies have absolutely zero jobs anywhere. Direct personnel, Parc, Sigma, etc

I heard some expats were back BUT on local terms. Eventually they will hire again, however with the number of unemployed pilots around, the days of mega salaries are probably over for the foreseeable future.

some expats are definitely back, I was just on a (domestic) flight on CES that had an A320 expat driver. but new hiring? I doubt it.

Even salary is good though, think about how Chinese treat us.
Easy to fail on SIM downgrading FO, pay reduction.
Young instructors, checkers, are rude
if you come back to china again you will miss states
Think about life when you were here
