World's first supersonic bomber; just think of the money the yanks spent developing the B58 which had a much shorter in service life.
Wonder how loud the 'boom' was compared to Concorde.

I have to agree that it seems a bit rude, but I was surprised at how the airframe was sectioned and carried away. It looked neater and more respectable than just scrapping it into unrecognisable flakes of aluminium.

The aircraft went supersonic in a dive and was noted for the first person to go supersonic while facing backwards.

Maybe it was carefully separated to be a useful spares source for the few surviving HP Victor and the cockpit section a possible restoration project?
Fingers and toes crossed!
