YEP! BRM 'PRIOR TO' the airport being 'leased' = sold off!
Note the N/S RWY....intact....Now a whole new suburb.

Possibly circa 1970's or even prior to that - when BRM was still a 'sleepy country town' and Derby was the 'Admin. Centre', for quite a few if not 'most' Govt Depts at the time.

Nice photo Tks
Cheers

Yep. Looks like Broome.
The Mangrove is there but I can't see the Garuda DC-3 outside the tourist information centre.
For comparison :

For comparison :

WingNut, the DC-3 was moved in 2003. From the DC-3 Census website:

PK-GDC was sold to Peter Hanbury of Armadale, W.A. on 23APR03. During May 2003 the aircraft was dismantled and trucked to the property of Jeff Green at Armadale, W.A. It is reported that the owner is intending to convert the aircraft into a studio.
The aircraft was moved over the weekend of 01/02SEP12 from Armadale to Amelup (north of Albany) in the Stirling Ranges where it will be restored and act as an attraction outside the Lily Dutch Windmill restaurant/accommodation complex. (Report from Merv Prime).
Report on watoday.com.au of 16APR14 that the aeroplane belongs to Pleun and Hennie Hitzert who are converting it to guest accommodation on their property located about 100 kilometres north of Albany in the Stirling Range National Park.

Thanks to all for their input.
One last query about this photo, the attached photo is a detail from the edge of the photo, does anyone know what it means?
The photo is colour glossy, on AGFA photograph paper, size 730mm x 720mm.
Again, the date at the bottom is from my phone camera and not pert of the origional photogrph.

There should be info on the original photo as to the height that the photo was taken from.

Wild 15... ie cms or 6” focal length. On the aerial film of abt 10”x 10 “ frames.. wide angle.
the 3 1/8 “ lens was called super wide angle.
If you have the full frame and can get a distance from a map. Scale at 5000 ‘ was 1:10, 000 with 6”” lens
You can calc the height.
looking at the Broome pix , I’d guess Flying hit of 5000’
