I have no problem with QF creating extra revenue streams. Aircraft are an average investment. Successful diversification of revenue streams should be encouraged. I'm guessing your comment is a (accurate) reflection of how the flying divisions see cut after cut whilst growth occurs in other areas. As a Mainline pilot, I hear your pain.

But will QF loose sight of its core business?
Just about every day we have an offer from companies whose core business has absolutely nothing to do with insurance starting to sell insurance,
Coles, Woolies, Kogan and the list goes on.
Maybe the ex QF ground handling staff could be re-trained to sell insurance.

Don't forget Virgin brand was selling everything...your bank sells insurance too.

In business go where the money is...

If there home insurance is like their car insurance, don't bother. For me, they were over $300 dearer than Suncorp (AAMI) $1200 v $900.

They try to catch those obsessed with FF points who don't realise a 1000 points is only worth somewhere between $5 & $7 when converted to a fare.
