Being originally from JAA times where there used to be FTOs and TRTOs, it all changed to ATOs with the advent of EASA.

There seems to be a "new kid on the block" by the name of DTO (Declared Training Organisation). (only bump into it now ... in case it has been around for some time)

The pertinent question is what is the difference between an ATO and a DTO ?

While at it, also, what is a NTO ?

The DTO is the new 'Registered Facility', an ATO-lite aimed at PPL level training. Never heard of an NTO.
