About a month ago, the Smithsonian Air and Space presented an on-line discussion with Tuskegee Airman Brigadier General Charles McGee, USAF (Ret.). I watched most of the talk live and it's quite good - the one hour discussion is now on YouTube:

(there are about 5 minutes of Smithsonian ad and Tuskegee Airman background at the start - be patient, it's worth the wait).
McGee not only served in the Tuskegee "Red Tail" Squadron, he continued his service in both Korea and Vietnam.
McGee is now 100 years old - if I'm fortunate enough to live to the century mark, I hope I remain as sharp as Brig. Gen McGee is :ok:

I trust this fine example to us all has a very Happy 101st Birthday today. The events of his 22nd birthday clearly changed the course of his life.

It seems unbelievable now to think of a centenarian+ who flew something as modern and sophisticated as an F-4! when I was little, centenarians closest association with modern weaponry was the breach loading rifle.
