I’ve recently moved back to the north west and looking to get back into some GA flying. Can anyone recommend a flying club in the north west? Looking for a place with well maintained aircraft with reasonable rates. Thanks

Hello PieFly,
As the airfields in the Northwest are pretty thinly spread it could help if we knew roughly where you live - thanks.

I had my first trial flight with Westair in Cessna 150 G-AVVE in June 1968. They must be doing something right to last 52 years.

Westair have been going since the 1930s (over 80 years):
History ? Westair (http://www.westair.uk.com/history)
ANT, another well-respected club at Blackpool, have been operating for 73 years.
If he lives in Altrincham it might be a bit of drag going to Squires Gate for flying :ugh:
Liverpool Flying School are very good at LPL.
Aircraft are well maintained in house at Keenair, too.

Barton would seem to be the most convenient - about 10 miles from Altrincham
