View Full Version : Who and what is attacking Kington?

The poor, defenceless, Herefordshire town of Kington has been attacked mercilessly this week (including right now) by what look like F15s(?). NOTAMS have the exercise centre as Bradnor Hill, which is the location of the highest full golf course in England, so it could be a show of force to the Welsh or an attempt to supress the golfing fraternity.
Is anyone here prepared to shed light?

(Edited to add: please do it more often. The area commonly gets V22s, C130s, Hawks and C17s rattling around but doesn't usually get attacked)

I can see a Hawk frollicking in the Kington Area on ADSB, looks like it's out of Shawbury?

It's NOTAMed, so I'd guess a show of force rather than actual aggression (for which you'd presumably retain an element of surprise). There again, maybe they're counting on golfists not checking NOTAMs?

On reflection, KIngton is on the English side of the border so, if they are F15s, then perhaps Trump has formed a diversionary alliance with the fabled viet Taf and the attack is a softening-up before the land invasion by the Welsh ...
(What else looks like an F15 but is used for ground attack?)
