Hello Guys,
Hope your all doing great. Im reaching out to the Lear 45XR "drivers". I have a quick, to the point question. I am about 1,95CM tall or 6ft4-6ft5.
Ok, where does my question go. DO I FIT. I remember once stepping into a Lear 45 cockpit and sitting in on it and the cockpit smushed my head I THINK. I did not regulate the seat, I did not adjust the pedals, so I have no clue if I could make it. What are your thoughts? Please let me know, if you all have any pictures, and info, any tips, please let me know. This CAN NOT be a deterrent in this COVID age, for not accepting a job. It would be ironic. Thanks in advance.
Stefano R.

I don’t think you would have any problems. I had colleagues that height when I flew the Lear and don’t recall any issues.

@Jwscud , Thank you very much, I was talking to a few people and they said, definitely not the most comfortable fit, but, manageable. I mean, I flew an Encore for a while, got used to it but I STILL find it to have more space than the lear, LOL. Flight Control was a knee cracker though if I was not forewarned. LOL.

I’m 6’3 and found it fine too. Not a very comfortable aircraft for more than 1.5-2h legs no matter how tall you are though!

Damn, well, flights would be standards 3.5-4H long! LOL. Beggars cant be choosers at this point, im stuck, HOPEFULLY he changes his mind to a Hawker or something. Or if only he would keep his Citation X. Any way. Thanks, will be hoping to hear more from others

Does any body by any chance have Lear 45/45XR manuals online or that I can download?? Thanks in advance, Highly appreciated
I’m thinking it’s not just your height, more of an upper body length vs leg length issue.
Im not nearly as tall as you, more like 4-5 inches shorter and still I have issues in certain cars like the BMW’s :suspect: and certain light airplanes with my upper body length.
So you may very well be fine in a Lear if you’ve got stalk legs and a short upper body.

Great info and feedback on your behalf, THATS WHAT I THOUGHT. Everybody who is saying "your fine, your ok" I think doesn't really know how uncomfortable this could be, but OH WELL.

Ok, this is good information all thought I consider my self, LONG LEGS, LONG TORSO. LOL. Ahh boy, well, i was watching videos and I was like, hmmm, I think im gonna have trouble, as you can see in these pics, I fit very well in the Encore, but on the Lear I can see its a tight fit.

Bill Lear must have had “little man syndrome”. It’s the only explanation I can think of for why you can’t fit in his aeroplanes if you’re over about 5’5.
Flew the LR35, regularly on 4+ hour legs, am 6’4, not sure how my back or a$$ survived. Most of my colleagues were average height, I don’t think any of them moved the seat forward off the bulkhead.

LOL...... This is quite the testimony TBH hahaha. And it also freaks me out! Ahh boy, as I said, I'll keep you all posted asap
Anecdote:
In the older Lears (25/35) the flight crew would split a sweater.
Capt would wear the left sleeve and shoulder section and the FO would wear the right.
This because the inside cockpit surface would get very cold.
