How long does a transfer take, can baggage be checked or does it have to be collected and checked in, and how easy is it to accomplish?

I've never done it myself but here are two options:
Take the coach transfer - visit NY Airport Service (http://www.nyairportservice.com)
or
Take a cab - $35 plus tips plus tolls - Basically $45.
