Probably had one too many, got confused, and thought someone was taking too long in the loo! ;)

We need an airline to sue for costs of diversion. Perhaps, in the rougher financial territory of Covid, a carrier will at last try to set an example.

Another report (https://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/jet2-disruptive-passenger-hammering-cockpit-door-greece-turkey-a9693086.html) suggests the cuplrit was British and will be sent back to the UK to face the music.

Don't hold your breath.

The same airline - Jet2 - made a big song and dance in June 2019 about pursuing another unruly passenger who caused a diversion. They assessed the costs at £85,000, but nothing more was heard about the damages claim, although she did get sentenced to two years in prison back in February.
