Hello Fellow PPruners,
I would be very interested to know where I could find a list of all the airports and airfields in the US, including the length of the respective runways.
Or maybe even some kind of statistics according to runway length...
Thanks a lot, as always !!

A long time ago there were free to the public (open source) data files published by the US Mil. These were called DAFIF and you could read into Excel/SQL to generate your own reports. If you're not too bothered about currency, I've uploaded a May 2006 version. The RWY file can be imported into Excel but then you need to perform a vlookup using the ARPT file data to find out which airport the runway information is for. DAFIF was very substantial and covered over 95% of the worlds commercial airports at the time. File is here: https://gofile.io/d/deO61V

For the latest stuff, it seems the Flight Sim/X-Plane/P3D navdata providers have a bit of a monopoly in this area. If you're good with raw data files and working with data this is where you need to look.

Navigraph (https://navigraph.com) is a relatively cheap source for up-to-date Jeppesen FMS data, around €30 a year, if your project can justify that.

Take a look at skyvector.com and follow the airports link. It lists 20,633 in USA, which are sub-divided into States. It gives runway details, surfaces etc.

That'll keep the OP out of mischief for the next few years. :O
