Seeking details concerning a missing aircraft. As I recall it was a Beech Baron flown by former RAAF and Qantas pilot Captain Brian Millis flying over Mallacoota heading for Tasmania about 30 years ago. The only passenger was a minister of religion. It is believed to have ditched en-route in bad weather. I understand no trace of wreckage found. Unable to find info on ATSB website

My recollection is that accident occurred on takeoff from Flinders Island maybe at night. The catholic priest was flying and Bryan was accompanying him on the flight. Bryan had retired at that time,

I seem to remember Father Jeremy Flynn was the pilot and there was considerable worry among people at HARS at the time because he had been funding the Constellation restoration.

I think that is correct, and he used to fly a Cessna 310 (stubby exhaust, short nose model) VH- REK.

So Ng5 and pithblot, what exactly is your issue here?

Many thanks for the replies. The other pilot was a very experienced former RAAF pilot who had flown Meteors on operations during the Korean war. He was also a former Qantas captain. I wonder if that aircraft had a fully functional IFR instrument panel on the passenger's side or just radio stacks.

In most Barons any second AH is usually jammed in the bottom right hand corner of the passengers side and useless to the left seat pilot due huge parallax error.

As an interested reader with no personal involvement at all in this accident, I see both posts you refer to as simply adding aviation background info about one of the people involved. Nothing derogatory.
Your post, somewhat ironically, suggests you have "an issue."
