It seems that only the locals are getting a helping hand from “that” airline so they can go on holidays, in one case, to the Maldives.
The company is claiming it is duty travel so they avoid the quarantine upon arrival back in AUH.
One pilot in particular has a LHR directly after returning ...
So much for keeping the UAE safe from covid...
note that the harder working expats are prevented from leaving AUH...
Additionally, a source in finance has recently said that the airline would not survive 5 years with the current rate of emiratisation.
