A Spanish Canadair water bomber has crashed while tackling a fire near Lobios, close to the Portuguese border.
First reports say the two crew have been seriously injured.

Update.

Spanish press now reporting that the co-pilot, a Portugese national, has sadly died. The Spanish captain remains in a serious condition.
This report contains a video of the crash site that appears to show that the aircraft impacted just below a ridge.
