Hello aviators,

I have question how You travel to usa for crew changes in USA during those covid restrictions? According information what our lawyer, there only chance to get in with airline( non USA citizens), as active crew only. Does it means crew changes are not possible for business ops?

Any ideas and suggestions?

I believe if you have a C1/D visa you would be allowed to enter on an airline going into the US.

Yes, but they say active crew only.

Who says that? The authorities? Where is it written? What do they define as "active crew"?

No issues to get into the USA for a crew change by airline. Make sure you use your C1/D visa only! Obviously a document stating your next assignment on the aircraft will help. We have done several crew changes and all according the rules. When coming in from the EU, make sure you enter via the dedicated COVID entry airports.
