a 72 year old pilot experienced technical problems and tried a safety landing - where the Bell 47 turned over.
All three occupants survived and were medical treated.

Regardless of the cause, I hate seeing any crash of the classic 47... hope all walked away.... :eek:

Will probably be “repaired” in a month or so with same data plate and all different components.

3 Occupants? Surely you wouldn't try this with the duals installed?

Will probably be “repaired” in a month or so with same data plate and all different componentOnly aircraft I've flown in which, if you could retrieve the data plate, you couldn't have an accident. At the time, under the regulations in place, damage to aircraft was categorised by the man hours to repair. A destroyed 47 could be rebuilt within the man hours requirement.
