A Bücker 131 Jungmann of the Gruyère Aero Club, HB-UVB, crashed on final approach to Epagny airfield, Switzerland, on 28 July 2020. It crashed into trees near the airfield, destroying the aircraft but happily sparing the two occupants who are said to have only minor injuries. https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/238828

Sad to see the end an old favourite after 80 years in Swiss skies, but good that the occupants are OK.

Amazing that injuries were light, I imagine relatively low speed into trees can provide a fair bit of crumple zone during deceleration.

I saw the unclad wing of a Jungmann once, a beautifully delicate and lightweight structure; then I saw Mark Jefferies perform a lomcevak in one!

treadigraph: Yes, they were fortunate. When I saw the photo I feared the worst. I haven't yet seen any reports on the circumstances. Maybe the wings sheared off and left the fuselage relatively intact. If I find out more I'll post it.

Pilot DAR: thanks for correcting the date in the title!

I just looked at the photograph again and see that the two cockpits are visible, lying on their side, and relatively intact. So the wings were not sheared: just a very solid fuselage build!
